Diageo is a global innovator in the beverage world, combining creativity and science to offer over 200 brands in nearly 180 countries—catering to every taste and celebration. Built on the legacy of pioneers like Arthur Guinness and Johnnie Walker, Diageo integrates culture with modern innovation to create products and experiences that bring people together for life’s biggest and smallest celebrations. Diageo’s presence in India includes its newly redesigned office at Manyata Tech Park, which is more than just a workplace—it’s an immersive experience that celebrates the identity of its iconic alcohol brands.
Partnering with Merak Studio, Diageo reimagined its workspaces, including its conference rooms and café, as a testament to the craftsmanship and dedication that define its legacy. Every detail—from the muted tones to the intricately designed ceilings, acoustic panelling, and glass motifs—reflects the company’s commitment to creating an inspiring environment for its people. In particular, these conference rooms are thoughtfully personalised to reflect the identities of Diageo’s sub-brands, underscoring the company’s dedication to each label. As employees step inside, they’re greeted by an experience deeply rooted in the brand’s identity.
Diageo’s main conference room is a masterclass in understated sophistication, meticulously designed to meet the highest standards and create welcoming spaces for professionals worldwide. Muted beige and earthy brown tones create a warm, inviting ambience, complemented by a striking wooden grid ceiling with soft, diffused lighting that evokes the feel of a skylight, offering a sense of freshness at any time of day. At its centre, an elongated wooden table with sleek dark accents anchors the space, surrounded by caramel-toned leather chairs that effortlessly blend with the refined design and offer exceptional comfort.
The walls proudly showcase the bold “Diageo” logo set against an acoustic textured panel for improved sound quality and receded echoes, while a stunning display of premium spirits stands out against a raw concrete backdrop—creating a striking and memorable homage to the brand’s rich legacy. Beneath the bold logo sits a seating alcove designed to accommodate additional team members for convenience and efficient collaboration. In contrast, the glass partitions balance privacy and visibility, maintaining an open feel without losing the room’s sense of intimacy.
Two elegant pantries with Emperador marble tops grace either end of this conference room, while gracefully curved pillars add visual interest. Plush carpeting enhances comfort and acoustics, creating a warm, sophisticated ambience that reflects Diageo’s heritage and innovation.
The Ciroc Room is a sleek and modern space that radiates luxury. Inspired by the vodka’s iconic branding and playful acoustic panels attached to absorb excess noise and reverberation, its bold blue tones create a vibrant and focused atmosphere. Minimalist veneer tables with linear lighting and refined finishes make it an ideal space for invigorating discussions, while the clean, contemporary design mirrors Ciroc’s tastefulness.
In contrast, the Guinness Room designed by Merak Studio evokes a sense of heritage and history. With rustic brick walls reminiscent of European beer cellars and ceiling accents inspired by barrel caps, the room feels like a journey back to the origins of the iconic stout. The harp motif etched into the glass adds a subtle nod to the brand’s legacy, while the earthy tones and textures create a cordial environment for collaboration. For a pleasant auditory environment, perfectly proportioned acoustic panels have been discreetly integrated into the design.
The Singleton Room is all about warmth and artisanal charm. Wrapped in golden whisky hues, it features intricate fish-scale patterns on the partition glass and ceilings—an artful nod to the brand’s iconic salmon motif. This attention to detail creates a luxurious, acoustic, approachable space, strengthening creativity and meaningful discussions.
The Royal Challengers Room bursts with energy and boldness, drawing on the legacy of the original lion logo, which also captures the vibrant spirit of its cricket team. At the centre of the space is an elongated wooden table with clean lines, surrounded by striking red upholstered chairs that uplift the mood of anyone entering the room, creating a vivid contrast to the muted tones of the space. The textured and panelled grey walls serve as a subtle backdrop with hidden acoustic properties, allowing the iconic golden lion logo of Royal Challenge to stand out prominently, symbolising strength and pride.
Diageo’s café is a space where time seems to slow down, bringing a sense of calm amidst the workday buzz. The earthy tones and cascading greenery from the ceiling create a connection to nature, making the room feel fresh and rejuvenating. The perforated ceiling panels discreetly conceal the vent, streamlining the design and creating a contemporary rhythm that subtly draws the eye upward. The wooden cabinetry’s warmth and the black countertops’ sleekness invite employees to linger, whether to grab a quick coffee or catch up with a colleague. Sitting at one of the tables, surrounded by subtle details like circular wooden wall art and open shelving, there’s a quiet sense of harmony. The polished micro concrete flooring, a popular choice in modern design and cool underfoot, ties the elements together, making the café feel effortlessly modern yet deeply connected to the brand’s communal spirit. It’s more than a café—it’s a place to pause, recharge, and feel part of something bigger.
